Switch On Our Reading Skill

Post our college studies, due to hectic work pressure & time bound commitments we forget reading books in today’s life.   After our college when we think about reading books, only college books come in our mind.  However we never think about reading Self-Help books to motivate us regularly or Health books to know our health or Humor books to laugh at least for 5 minutes or so on…

Every month I wish to read at least one book but unfortunately I end up reading only 100 pages.  One day I asked about this to my colleague who always reads fiction or non-fiction books 2 to 3 hrs a day. In fact I was jealous about his consistent reading.  He asked me to dedicate 1 hour every day to read something and also pointed out if you can’t spend one hour a day to read, at least spend 3 hours a week.  This is a good start for beginners. As you dedicate yourself to reading then you will find time and finish a book in a month.  Suddenly I heard my mind voice telling “But I am not a beginner”.   After having a brief discussion with my friend I came to a conclusion that I would read 3 hours a week.  Here consistency plays an important role and procrastination is the neighbor of consistency.  When consistency comes in our life procrastination joins with him due to lot of things.  So we need to beat the procrastination first to achieve consistency every day to achieve the goal.

Reading is a key tool to open our knowledge
Reading is a universal tool to open our ideas
Reading is a real tool to open new inventions to the world

How to switch on our Reading Skill?
A simple step is to buy a book or join books library and lend books monthly twice in whichever subject you are interested.   Still don’t find time to visit a library due to time constraint then Join online lending library who will deliver books at your home.  Take a ride on reading consistently without allowing procrastination friend.

Improve Your Communication Skill

Communication is a form of language which you should gauge precisely and deliver to your audience.

To improve that ability, we should follow below things:

1.     Read books other than text books eg. Self-Help Books.

2.     Communicate precisely what you are trying to convey.

3.     Do not make audience to guess your communication so do not use the doubt words like “may” “might”.

4.     Use positive language like “can” “will” etc.

5.     Speak assertively when you express your thoughts and opinions which will impact positive vibration in audience mind.

6.     Speak responsibly and own your words like “Yes I did”.  Especially, do not blame or show someone/them as a victim when you communicate.

7.     When you communicate something to a person or audience do not say like “I couldn’t help you in this issue” instead you can say “I will try my level best” or “I will try to sort out the issue”.

8.     Most importantly practice your voice with moderate tone, politely, enunciate etc.  For example: Take a role model of some speakers and speak like them that is easy and quickie way to achieve good communication skill.

Best communicator is always the best speaker to audience.

Develop reading skill among Children

Reading is one of the best habits that one can cultivate in his lifetime. It is the best hobby a person can ever have.  By reading a person has nothing to lose but one can gain tons of knowledge from it. In today's world parents should encourage their children to improve their reading habit, but most parents don't have time for this.  But in reality it's a big task and responsibility of parents to imply their children to cultivate reading habit.   In stories which our Grandma had told us, we have heard that suddenly God came in front of a person and gave all knowledge in a day.   We are not so lucky these days to see God in front of us to grant us all knowledge in a day.   We can gain knowledge only step by step and Reading plays a big part in it.

Start reading one page a day, two pages on the second day, three pages on the third day, and five pages after a week.   After two months you will be surprised about your reading limit and you can easily read 10 pages per hour.

How reading habit helps us?

If you are thinking how reading could help us then here are some benefits of reading.
Reading increases our knowledge and helps us to know many new things.  It improves concentration & focus thereby helping one to achieve his dream with more confidence.  Reading increases our vocabulary knowledge.   Many times we learn new words while reading.  Reading creates awareness about the happenings around the world.

In this fast forward life reading 30 to 45 mins can relieve our stress and keep our mind fresh.   At the same time it makes you feel more confident and improves your intelligence.   It improves memory & creativeness.   Reading brings a natural flow of writing and speaking.  Reading increases reasoning skill with the knowledge you gain.

Reading teaches morals to children.  Kids learn to be against greed, laziness, talking to strangers and more.
When a child reads about his/her favourite hero in a book, he/she tries to imagine it. It turns on the imagination capability in kids.  Once you see those little foreheads scrunch, or watch your children stare dreamily at the wall while eating their dinner, you’ll know they’ve been bitten by the reading bug.  Reading is always a better option to watching TV.

Thinking of a way to develop reading habit?  oh.. That's easy.   Join a nearby Books library or libraries, rent books and start reading.   Books and Toys rental services are famous in today’s world.  Still don’t find time to visit the library personally? Relax… There's still an easy way.
